Resources in the CorporateTime Calendar
A resource is an inanimate object that has its own calendar. The most common resources are conference rooms, but other pieces of equipment can also be used. Managing a resource requires you to work as a designate, so this cannot be done from the Web client. If you will be managing a resource, you should also read the information about designates.
Setting up another designate for a resource
When you request an account for a resource, you name a designate. However, you can specify other designates once you get the account.
Log in as the resource. Remember to put "R:" before its name. You will notice that when you log in as the resource, you cannot see the agenda. The only thing you can do when you log in this way is change access rights, which cannot be done by a designate.
Follow the normal procedure for setting up a designate.
Limiting who can schedule a resource
By default, anyone can invite your resource to a meeting. If you want, you can limit this to particular people. You could also set it so that only particular people can view the resource's calendar.

Follow the normal procedure for setting access rights. Give the default person no rights and then add the people you want and give them the new rights.
Managing a resource's agenda
As the designate for a resource, you have two main responsibilities. The first is adding meetings. Note that a meeting added this way belongs to a resource, not a person, so it should only be used in particular circumstances, such as when it is unavailable due to repair.
The second responsibility is more important: responding to invitations. This is how you maintain control over the room's schedule. If someone invites your room to a meeting that you don't want it used for, simply decline the invitation. You also resolve time conflicts.
Remember that you cannot manage a resource by logging into that resource. Once you are set up as a designate of the resource, log in as yourself, and then open the resource as a designate. Also remember that you cannot change access rights as the designate.
