Dialup Instructions for Mac OS X - Tiger

  1. Go to the Apple (?) menu and choose System Preferences…
  2. Click the Network icon.
  3. From the dropdown list labled "Show" select "Internal Modem."
  4. The phone number is 347-1800 (7-1800 from on campus, 205-347-1800 from long distance). Also enter your myBama account name and password.

  5. Once you have entered the neccessary info, click on "Dial Now"
  6. A new window will popup showing your login information and you connection status.


  7. Once your connection has been fully established you will see the following:


  8. You may now hide the "Internet Connection Wizard," and begin your online activites (email, Web browsing, etc.).

Your Macintosh will now dial your UA Dialup connection whenever you open a network application, such as a Web browser.
