Faculty: Getting Started with Grading

The University of Alabama uses a system called Banner for academic and administrative data, including class schedules, registration, and grading. As a faculty member, you can access your schedules and class rosters through the myBama website (http://mybama.ua.edu). This site also provides Web-based e-mail, announcements, University news, and information.

Signing in to myBama

  1. Go to http://mybama.ua.edu
  2. Sign in using your Bama user name and password. If you don't know yours, click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the instructions.

  4. Click on the Faculty tab. Notice the Faculty Grade Assignment channel in the top of the center column.

  6. Click on the 'Missing Grade' icon Missing Gradenext to course you wish to grade.

Select a grade from the pull-down menu for each student. Only grades that are allowed for the specific course will be shown in this menu.

Click the Submit button to save the selected grades. You must do this at least once every twenty minutes or you may lose grades that have been selected but not submitted.

To submit grades for another course, go back to the Faculty tab and select a different CRN Faculty Grade Assignment channel.
