Current Virus News

The following viruses have been seen on campus lately:

W32/Mydoom@MM virus: Comes through e-mail. It can be caught and sent from any Windows computer, not just those using Outlook. From addresses are spoofed. Update all anti-virus software, and, as always, do not open attachments you are not expecting.

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list. New viruses come out all the time, and "old" viruses continue to infect computers long after they stop being news. For current computer alerts, check McAfee's AVERT Alerts. Sites like Network Associates' Virus Library provide detailed information on all known viruses and hoaxes.
