Inserting Slides from Another Presentation
Sometimes, you might need to insert slides from one presentation into another. It's easy to do using the Insert menu.
Practice: Inserting Slides from Another PowerPoint Show
- Download the HomeAlone.ppt file.
- Go to slide 7 to insert slides from the other presentation after this one.
- Click Insert on the menu bar, and then click Slides from Files to open the Slide Finder dialog box.
- Click the Browse button in the dialog box to go to the folder where you saved the presentation you downloaded.
- Click the thumbnail of Slide 15 to select it. The selected slide has a dark blue frame around it.
- Click the Insert button and then the Close button in the Slide Finder dialog box. The slide is inserted into the current presentation as shown.
- Click on the image and resize it using the white circled resize handles and drag it toward the bottom of the slide where it fits above the footer and where it leaves enough room for you to insert a text box in which to type a slide title.
- Go to Format on the menu and select Slide Layout. Change this slide's layout to Title to create a title text box.
- Click inside the title text box and type a title for your slide that relates to the picture and to the rest of your presentation. Adjust font size and color as desired. Your finished slide should resemble the one below.
- Save your work and go on to the next section on Adding a Sound Clip.
