Sun ScholarPac Support

The Sun ScholarPac program provides campus licensing for several Sun products under one purchase. This program is paid for by the Office of Information Technology. It provides the main software support for the central Sun Unix machine (bama), but includes all other campus machines as well.

Technical Support

You should note that as a university, we are eligible (and registered) to use new Solaris versions (SPARC and Intel), as they become issued, on all campus machines free of charge. This does not cover support should problems arise, however. Under our campus software support contract we can put up to 100 machines under support. If you are interested in having your machine covered, please contact the HelpDesk. We have not begun doing this yet, but would like to gauge interest in this.
